Yellow floral kurti fabric!!
Here is a yellow shade handloom cotton material. I use 2.5 metres of fabric for Kurtis. That will be enough for a kurti with long sleeves of normal large size.
The fabric has been hand painted with flower design in blue shade. Outer dark blue and inner light blue and the green stalk.
It has been done like flowers are dispersed on the fabric without any direction.
It can be noted that whole design goes to one side of the kurti and not in the perfect centre.
Further the fabric comes with half metre extra for sleeves. That is also finished with the same flower design.
Here is a closer view of the design:
I am also sharing a small video of shading the flower motif design in the above fabric.

Madhubani fish design
Fish design is my all-time favourite. I have found a variety of fish design in all types of traditional Indian paintings. Madhubani is one of them.
For such designs you require much more concentration . And they look great in different colour combinations as well as in simple black and white combination. Black with contrast light colours also does well like orange or yellow or red etc.
Shown in this post is a Madhubani fish design. The kurti is dark maroon colour and
so the design is done in the neck area. In the dark background design is flesh coloured with black border.
Kurti material is handloom cotton comfortable to do the hand painting and comfortable to wear also....
You may also check the Kerala saree with fish motifs and also fish design kurti material posted earlier in this blog.

Yet another floral design
This is a cotton silk saree with very light green colour and with two different colour borders. One side orange and the other pink. There is also this golden border on both sides inner to the colour borders.
I wanted to give floral design with leaves like flowers spread on the material. So in the pallu I drew flowers with flesh shade in a random manner, and in the centre of each flower, a shade of either orange or pink was given. You can also see leaves around them.

The borders are also done in the same floral design, like flowers spread over short lengths.
Now for the blouse piece, it's a running blouse with same shade as the saree and the same designs are given on one of the borders that could be made on the sleeves.

The parrots !!
All would have noticed the title image in this blog. Yes .....bright green parrots and the twig with leaves.....
The design is hand painted in a Kerala saree to beautify the pallu.
Rs. 1500/- Rs.1100/-
I have done this drawing and shading with great interest that it came properly as I had wished. The light green colour of the birds is matching well with the background off-white shade of the Kerala saree and so is looking beautiful....

Pallu design :
Similar design but proportionally smaller has been done in one of the borders. And that is to a small length.
The golden border (kasavu) in the pallu is finished with the same light green shade to give a beautiful feel....
